The insert contains a BamHI site. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.9, 1.15; BamHI--3.0, 1.05; HindIII--4.1; AvaI--4.1; HincII--4.1. According to a nomenclature meeting for the CEA gene family, this may be named PSG3. The insert does not contain an Alu sequence, but it does contain two 12 bp sequences similar to Alu repeats in the 3' untranslated region. This is not a full-length cDNA clone. |
