This strain contains a plasmid resistant to ampicillin and kanamycin. When possible, use both antibiotics. It is feasible to maintain the plasmid on ampicillin alone, however, as the kanamycin resistance gene is between transposon markers, it is not possible to maintain the plasmid on kanamycin alone.
